Smart battery and ready-to-connect tools

Smart devices thanks to intelligent batteries: in the PARKSIDE app, you can customise your batteries exactly as you need them. Want to know what's possible? We'll explain it all to you. Then you can get started.

What the functions offer you

Find out here what's behind "Smart" and Ready to Connect" and what advantages they offer you in your everyday DIY projects.

Smart batteries and chargers

Smart batteries allow you to perfectly tailor the desired performance to your needs. You can connect your smart battery to the app and set it to different modes. These affect the runtime and service life of your batteries. Your smart chargers also allow you to control them via the app and set different charging modes. You will also be notified of the charge status and other processes.

Ready to Connect Tools

Is your tool ready to connect? This function allows you to add the device to your PARKSIDE app. By connecting to the app, you can not only optimally tailor your device to your requirements, e.g. by setting the exact speed, but also keep track of the charge status and operational readiness in conjunction with the smart batteries.

PARKSIDE app

The PARKSIDE app is like your portable toolbox. You can easily add all your smart batteries, smart chargers and Ready to Connect tools. This allows you to keep an eye on the charge status and devices so that you can start your new project at any time. Use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to set up and use the app and features – you'll be ready to start your next big project in no time!

Full power, exactly according to your plan

With the PARKSIDE app, you can connect your smart battery and set it exactly as you need it. Choose the right mode: more power, longer runtime or gentle use – whatever suits your plan.

Discover the different battery modes

With your smart batteries, you can choose between four different modes in the app. Each mode has its own advantages. Discover now which one best suits your projects.

Performance

In this mode, you get the most out of your battery: more power, longer runtime. The final discharge voltage here is 2.5 volts per cell, which means the battery is discharged particularly far. Depending on the model, this can go up to 100 amps.

Balance

Balance mode gives you the perfect mix: strong performance and long runtime, while protecting the battery. The higher cut-off voltage ensures that the battery lasts longer and still delivers enough power.

ECO

ECO mode conserves the battery for maximum service life: it switches off earlier to protect the cells and maximise their service life. The cut-off voltage of 3.0 V per cell reduces the runtime slightly, but the battery gains endurance in the long term.

Expert

Are the preset modes not enough for you? Then set everything yourself in Expert mode – from the cut-off voltage to the maximum discharge current. Perfect if you want to adapt your tool to your own working style. Full control, full power!

End-of-discharge voltage? What's that?

The end-of-discharge voltage tells your battery when it's time to stop – before it gets critical. Higher voltage protects the battery and extends its service life. Lower voltage provides more power, but puts more strain on the battery. The choice is yours: maximum performance or long runtime.

Resetting the battery – here's how.

You can easily reset the battery to factory settings in the app. Remove the battery from the device list and select "Disconnect and delete data". You can find more details in the manual in the chapter of the same name. You can then reconnect your device – ideal after trying out expert mode.

How do I recognise Ready to Connect?

In order to use your device with the app, it must have the "Ready to Connect" function. You can recognise this by the link symbol on the tool. Once you have connected it, you can individually set all functions via the app, e.g. speed, working mode, level and much more. You can also view the total running time and the number of overheating, blockages and overcurrent protection incidents. This allows you to keep track of your tool's performance.
