First mowing run

You should follow these steps before using your robotic lawnmower.

Step-by-step instructions

Lawn mower on the lawn

Step 1

Check whether the lawn height is more than 40 mm. If it is higher, you need to pre-mow - if it is lower or just as high, you can start straight away.

Now clear all objects standing around out of the way.

Set the desired cutting height. The models differ in terms of handling and setting.

Switch on the robotic lawnmower and select the desired mode using the menu buttons and confirm with OK.

You can also conveniently control and set your robotic lawnmower via the app.

Installing the boundary wire

You need these tools:

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1

First, assemble the charging station according to the operating instructions and screw it on from below.

Then clamp the boundary wire into the charging station from below, leaving approx. 30 cm of wire free.

Select the position of the charging station so that the wire is 30 cm away from the boundary. For walls that cannot be driven over, a distance of at least 30-45 cm is recommended.

Then fix the cable to the ground at regular intervals using the hooks provided - alternatively, it can also be laid underground. The first hook is inserted directly at the charging station. confirm with OK.

Corners should be laid at two 45° angles.

The entire area to be mowed must be enclosed by the cable in this way.

You can now shorten the cable with a wire stripper and strip approx. 1 cm of insulation from both cable ends.

Step 8

Twist the wire ends and insert them into the supplied lustre terminal. Insert the cable end from the charging station on the left and the free cable end on the right.

Step 9

Now connect the charging station to the power supply. If the light lights up green, the installation was successful.
The battery of the robotic lawnmower can now be charged.

Repair boundary wire

You need these tools:

  • PARKSIDE cable connector 
  • PARKSIDE wire stripper or cutter
  • PARKSIDE pliers
  • Possibly PARKSIDE additional boundary cable
  • PARKSIDE multimeter if required

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1
Locate the cable break: Check places where work or digging has been carried out. Walk the cable and do a visual inspection. If you can't find it, a perimeter wire tester can help.

Step 2
Once the defective area is found, cut the damaged ends cleanly. Remove about 10 mm of insulation from both ends of the cable using wire strippers. Be careful not to damage the copper strands.

Step 3
Take the cable connector. Insert the two cable ends into the openings provided in the connector. If you need additional cable, insert it into the connector as well. Use pliers to press the connector firmly together until it is securely closed.

Note: These connectors contain a gel that provides waterproof protection for the cable.

Step 4
If you have a multimeter, you can measure the continuity of the cable to make sure the connection is working. If you do not have a multimeter, connect the robotic lawnmower and check whether the error message has disappeared.

Step 5
If you had to dig up the cable, put it back in the ground. Make sure that it is not kinked or stretched too tightly. If necessary, secure it in the ground with cable hooks.

Step 6
Start the robotic lawnmower and check that it is working normally. If an error message still appears, check the connection again or look for other cable breaks.

Step-by-step instructions

With spot mode, lawn areas that are otherwise covered can be mowed in a targeted manner. The robotic lawnmower starts mowing automatically. It mows in an anti-clockwise spiral direction. Spot mode ends after a mowing radius of 1 metre or 3.5 minutes.

Step 1

Before you can start, clear all obstructions out of the way.

Now place the robotic lawnmower in the desired area.

Step 3

Press the OK button to open the menu and use the arrow buttons to select Spot mode. Then confirm with OK. With the more compact PAMRC 250 A1 model, you can start spot mode in the PARKSIDE app.

Setting secondary area

Step-by-step instructions

This function allows the robotic lawnmower to reach areas of your garden that are difficult to access thanks to additional starting points. The area performance can be optimised with up to 5 additional starting points on the boundary wire. Additional starting points are measured clockwise from the charging station along the boundary wire.
The secondary start points are travelled automatically during working hours and according to a schedule.

The robotic lawnmower will cover the selected distance along the boundary wire and start mowing in this area.

Note: You can set the secondary areas on the compact PAMRC 250 A1 model via the PARKSIDE app.

Step 1

Press the OK button to open the main menu.

Step 2

Use the arrow buttons to select the ‘Secondary areas’ menu item and press OK again to confirm. Then select the area to be set.

Select the starting distance ‘’Distance (dst) m‘’ and the ratio ‘’Percent (pzt) %‘’ of the area to be mowed using the arrow buttons and press the OK button to confirm.

Maintenance and cleaning

Step-by-step instructions

Clean the robotic lawnmower and charging station regularly to achieve optimum performance and a long service life. We recommend wearing gloves during maintenance and cleaning to prevent cutting injuries.

Tip: The lawn mower is equipped with reversible blades. If the blades are blunt on one side, you can turn them. If the blades are damaged or unbalanced, you must replace them.

Step 1

Switch off the robotic lawnmower before maintenance and cleaning.

Step 2

You can use a simple hand brush to remove grass clippings from the underside of the robotic lawnmower, the wheels and the grass combs.

Before changing the blades, the battery of the robotic lawnmower must be removed.
Note: These connectors contain a gel that provides waterproof protection for the cable.

Then reinsert the battery, screw on the cover and the robotic lawnmower is ready for use again.

Use a microfibre cloth to clean the surface of the robotic lawnmower and the display.

Clean the charging station with a damp cloth and, if necessary, a mild soapy solution after disconnecting the power supply and removing grass, leaves and twigs.Note: Never clean the charging station with a high-pressure cleaner or solvents.
